Rookie manager Aaron Boone has led the Yankees into the winner-take-all October 3rd wild-card game. The Yankees began the day one game ahead of the A’s for home-field advantage with 53-27 at home record this season.  Tampa Bay, who was third in the wild-card race, lost at Toronto as the ninth inning was about to start in the Bronx. The Yankees finally broke through after Didi Gregorius singled off Paul Fry (0-1) starting the 11th inning.  It was an exciting night!

Nothing better than the Yanks in October.  Can’t wait!
