Final Stops for Filming “Joker Movie” are Newark & Jersey City

Newark & Jersey City

Warner Brothers has been filming their upcoming “Joker Movie” called “Romeo” in our area.  They have completed filming their shots in Brooklyn and have moved on to Jersey City and will be shutting parts of Brick City down in the middle of October.  As you can imaging there will be numerous street closures.  I would avoid the area unless you plan on being an extra.

The company has set up shoots in:

Brooklyn. Completed

Jersey City.  Nov. 9th.

Newark.  Oct. 13th to 17th.

The movie will center around the villain’s origin story as a failed comedian in 1980’s Gotham City. Joaquin Phoenix is the latest actor to be cast as the eponymous Joker, following Jared Leto and the late Heath Ledger’s.  Aside from Joaquin, the movie starts the legendary Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
