Here at Nueva York Nueva Jersey we are big on our regional culture and of course our food. If you enjoy regional food but can’t seem to find it in Boise, Idaho, Goldbelly is for you. Some incredibly smart individuals linked up with gourmet eateries across the U.S. to offer the best food FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY delivered straight to your home.
Live in Ohio but want authentic NY Bagels? Yes, please. Florida stone crab in Jersey? Yup. Maine lobster roll in Phoenix? They got you. So, what’s the catch? The price. The shipping is “free” but the items are gonna cost ya. You may want to order with a group of friends or family to spread that cost out a bit. Cheaper items are priced around $59.00 to $79.00, but if you would like something substantial you are looking at around $120.00 for one item. Another stipulation, they only ship on Tuesdays and Thursday for some areas.
Some well-known local restaurants on GB include Sarge’s Deli, Junior’s, Magnolia Bakery, H&H Bagels and Carnegie Hill Deli. I also would like to shout out some slightly lesser known establishments on GB, The Bagel Nook, Black Seed Bagels, Pat LaFreida Meat Purveyors, Russ & Daughters, Town Hall Deli, Essa Bagel, Millburn Deli and Sable’s Smoked Fish. These places look like they are killin’ it and I will definitely be giving them a try when I’m out of town.
Some over-rated places that have become too commercialized and the food has suffered include Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken and Primanti’s in Pittsburgh. No thank you. But most of the restaurants on the list seem legit.
I think if you’re having a small party or you like a few special items to keep hidden for yourself, it may be worth the price. The question is, how much are you will to spend for your hometown food?
