Memorial Day Poem

On Memorial Day we remember,

the lives lost of each military member,

for if not for their sacrifice,

 national security would face compromise.

Of war there’s been atrocities,

sufferings, evils, and monstrosities.

But when the smoke clears,

we all face our fears,

to see the grimm destiny,

of those passed to which we give sympathy,

for the bravery of their service let’s share empathy.
