Gone are the days of the classic white Statue of Liberty Plates.  Believe it or not our newer plates are already almost 10 years old.  There have been reports that all our new technology is having difficulty reading your aging plates, thus prohibiting people from getting tickets and paying tolls.

New York has announced that we will have a say in the next NY license plate.  There are 5 cool designs to pick from.  The voting opened today and will run through 9/2/19.  The plates will make their official debut in April of 2020.

The five designs feature three versions of the Statue of Liberty (none of which are as cool as the 90’s plates), the bridge formerly known as the Tappan Zee Bridge and finally a mixture of the NYC skyline and waterfalls.  Four of the five designs include New Yorks original motto “Excelsior”, latin for “ever upward”.
