Between New York City’s low high school graduation rate and its high debt are two key reasons why Gotham appeared on a new WalletHub Report.  NYC scored the third worst-run cities in the USA.

The list looks at the following criteria in their study; “quality of services” which include pollution, infrastructure, economy, financial stability, education health and safety.  The list also looks at a cities “operating efficiency”.

NYC did well in safety, but it’s economic and financial issues brought down the score.  As per the report NYC, has some of the highest long term outstanding debt.  Also education was not a great look for the city, with only 74.3 percent of students graduating high school according to the mayor.

Other notable cities on the list are Washington DC in dead last.  Detroit finished in second worst. On the flip side Boise, Idaho was the third best run, followed by Provo, Utah in second. Nampa, Idaho is the number one best run city in the US, so who’s ready to move to Idaho?
