On The Market: Tom Brokaw Lists 56-Acre Westchester Estate for $6.3M

Approximately 41 miles NE of the GWB.

Iconic NBC newsman Tom Brokaw has put his 56-acre Pound Ridge retreat on the market.  Brokaw purchased the mega retreat, which includes a lake and a 4,000-square-foot home, in 1999 for $4,255 million.

In early June, he listed the property for $6,300,000 with Kathy Sloane of Brown Harris Stevens and Muffin Dowdle of Ginnel Real Estate.

The estate, described as “European-inspired country house,” a 5-acre lake and a lakeside pool with its own pool house. The very private property with stucco and shingle style home, a rustic hammock strung between trees and a functioning dock, and did I mention the rowboat. The inside boasts large vaulted ceilings a gorgeous kitchen and fireplaces.  The home also a serene screened in porch that overlooks the large lake.

Brokaw has been making news of late, and not in a good way.  He is one of the latest in a series of high-profile media personalities to be accused of sexual harassment in the #metoo movement. A former female NBC correspondent accused the newsman of improper conduct, allegations that Brokaw has denied.
Back to the property, 56 Acres in Westchester… it’s Westchester.. just sayin’.  How have I lived in New York and New Jersey my entire childhood and adult life and never heard of Pound Ridge..
