Stew Leonard’s famous for its Yonkers and Connecticut over the top grocery stores will open up its first New Jersey supermarket in Paramus. The store will be located at the old Sears in Paramus Park.
The dairy-themed supermarket will create 350 new jobs in Bergen County. The 80,000 square foot store will feature their trademark dairy department, a butcher shop, a large fish and seafood section, kitchen, a buffet line and a bakery.
Sen Bob Menendez and other elected officials will be at the ground-breaking ceremony Friday morning. The chain has two locations in Long Island, one in Westchester and two in Connecticut, this location marks the companies first location across the Hudson.
The Paramus store will have its grand opening this fall.
