The Rochester, New York-based Supermarket chain with a cult-following will open its first NYC supermarket on Flushing Ave in the Brooklyn’s Navy Yard.  The 74,000 sq ft store will open this fall and will serve as the anchor for the $140 million redevelopment of the Admirals Row.

Wegmans announced it will hire a total of 500 people with 150 of those positions being full-time.  The store will feature a second-floor area with 100 seats for the in store cafe. That cafe will also include a bar that serves food, beer, wine and spirits.
